I am interested in creating interactive experiences where the art pieces respond to the presence or movements or intentions of the viewer and create a feedback loop, especially responding with sound, motion or light in ways that are sometimes continuous and organic.
I am interested in weaving together natural and artificial forms and meditating on situations where artificial forms are colonized by life, or where the cast-offs of life can become intertwined with mechanical function.
I am fascinated by the progress of technology and the movement into obsolescence, and the arc of life and death in both living and artificial mechanisms. Technology is conceived and created and used and reaches a peak and then becomes old and eventually turns to waste, becoming anachronistic against the ongoing wave of progress.
I enjoy documenting the process of decay and I like to learn about and utilize obsolete or pre-war technology and repurpose it to make something which carries out modern functions or can be freshly appreciated for its forgotten aesthetic.
